Conquering A Fear Of Flying

Many of us have fears and sometimes they get in the way of things, things like holidays.  We should be able to enjoy these things, so don’t let a needless fear get in the way.

Aviophobia is the fear of flying and affects many people around the world. It is because it’s so common that it garners so much attention and in turn, many people have also conquered it.

The symptoms of Aviophobia include; Anticipatory anxiety of being out of control and overwhelmed. Feelings of great distress, particularly when compelled to travel by air. The most extreme manifestations can include panic attacks or vomiting at the mere sight or mention of an aircraft or air travel.

Many people conquer a fear by understanding it better. Learn about flying, learn about aeroplanes and how they work. Learn what turbulence is. In understanding what we are doing we can understand our feelings around it more effectively. This allows us to be act in an objective way and not be as emotionally reactive.
