What is there to do in Portugal?

Portugal is a wonderful, diverse, cultural country, with some wonderful weather as an added bonus. There's lots to do and see, so if you are planning a trip to Portugal in future, here are some ideas:

Beaches. Portugal has stunning sandy beaches, often set dramatically against cliffs and stunning backgrounds and scenery. It's the perfect place to relax in the sun.
The Algarve. In the south of Portugal, the Algarve is a stunning region with plenty to do and see. Go walking, see wildlife, enjoy coastal views and eat some traditional Portuguese food like arroz de tamboril or bacalhau.
Play golf. The Algarve area is especially famous for golf and you'll find world-class golf courses throughout the region. Hire out some equipment and play a game or two, or take your clubs with you for a holiday focused on golf.
Visit small towns and villages. There are plenty of pretty villages to explore in Portugal, with traditional markets, food and drink.
