Sailing Holidays, Tips and Advice

Many holiday makers enjoy leisurely sailing activities when they go travelling. Sailing can be both relaxing and exhilarating, but to make sure its is an enjoyable experience all around, be sure to follow these tips on your sailing holiday.

What clothes to bring

Depending on the time of year, the clothes you will need to bring will vary. A couple of swimsuits, towels, some T-shirts and shorts and something casual for the evenings will likely be enough. It’s a good idea to include a windproof jacket in case of stronger winds. It is also good to have sailing gloves to protect your hands and office calluses.

Food

While there are the usual supermarkets and convenience stores at your destination, if you have allergies (milk, wheat gluten, etc.) its recommended that you bring your own substitutes for these food items. Simply because these items may not be readily available in some of the small shops around.
